They say nearly every woman — like 95 percent of them — has cellulite. Lynn’s convinced JLo, Beyoncé and the future Queen of England are in that five percent that don’t have it. But maybe they’re using a new technique that doctors swear reduces cellulite. Lynn checked out a place in Coral Gables that promises to smooth your booty.
Dr. Jeremy Green: “So, what I’m doing here is marking out the cellulite dimple…”
It looks inhumane … and just not nice.
Dr. Jeremy Green: “Her right cheek has more dimples.”
Using God awful dressing room lighting to highlight her cellulite.
Dr. Jeremy Green: “This is something diet and exercise will help a tiny bit, but you’re not going to get rid of it unless we actually go in and treat these dimples with the Cellfina procedure.”
Dr. Jeremy Green is the cellulite fixer. One of the first to use a new technique called ‘cellfina’ at Skin Associates of South Florida.
Lynn Martinez: “You’re saying this is the cure for cellulite? That’s huge!”
Dr. Jeremy Green: “It’s the closest thing we’ve ever had, so it’s pretty exciting.”
Robin: “Even being in shape, I still have it.”
Robin can’t wait to try Cellfina.
Robin: “When I take my pants off and I’m in my bikini, I see my cellulite, and I’ve had it since I was a teen.”
She’s a professional dancer — and can’t have booty cellulite.
Robin: “I do quit a lot of weightlifting on my hamstring and glutes.”
Lynn Martinez: “This has nothing to do with diet and exercise, right? ‘Cause even when I was skinny skinny — I had cellulite.”
Dr. Jeremy Green: “Yeah, it’s totally structure. It’s genes, it’s hormones. There’s nothing a girl did wrong to get this except be a girl.”
Cellfina is a procedure that claims to treat the cause of cellulite.
Dr. Jeremy Green: “There are these little bands underneath the skin that are pulling, giving a puckered appearance to the skin. If you go underneath the skin and release those bands and it pops up, the skin is smooth.”
Let’s do it.
Dr. Jeremy Green: “The first thing we’re going to do is numb the area…”
The suction thing is the anesthesia.
Dr. Green puts the cellulite dimple in the handpiece.
Lynn Martinez: “So now, goodbye cellulite.”
Dr. Jeremy Green: “Adios!”
Robin feels just felt a little poke.
Dr. Jeremy Green: “1, 2, 3 pinch.”
Her cellulite band is sniped.
This is done for each dimple.
Lynn Martinez: “So, this looks really bad, but after it’s gonna be smooth, right?”
Dr. Jeremy Green: “One treatment, smooth bottom, Robin’s gonna be very, very happy.”
Lynn Martinez: “We are all up in Robin’s grill.”
Initially, there’s a little swelling, but she’s already smoother.
Lynn Martinez: “This is permanent?”
Dr. Jeremy Green: “Yes. As far as we know.”
Patients Dr. Green has treated six years ago say their cellulite hasn’t come back.
This is Robin before — and this is Robin three months after Cellfina. Other before and afters also show a difference.
Robin’s booty isn’t totally perfect — but she’s elated to say goodbye to most of her cellulite.
Robin: “Hi Lynn! I’m glad that I had the procedure and that I’m fully healed now.”
