If you build it they will come. If it’s already built and all you have to do is redecorate it and throw in a fab French menu, even better! The folks behind Midtown Miami’s Brasserie Azur did just that bringing a shuttered restaurant space back to life with that joie de vivre the French are known for.
Enjoy the new space while you taste the new menu at Brasserie Azur. I would run (don’t walk) straight for the Pizzetta a la Truffe ($11) a pizza with a crust sooooo thin and crisp I’m convinced it’s carb free (at least that’s what I told myself when I ordered it). If Steak Tartare ($14) is your thing try it here, prepared tableside. There’s something on the menu called "Not Your Average Ratatouille" ($10) and they’re right nothing average about the veggies and fried poached egg in this dish. And Brasserie Azur manages to take something as average as rotisserie chicken and execute it to perfection. The lemon and rosemary marinated whole Poulet ($38) was juicy and tender on the inside, perfect for sharing, perfect for leftovers.
Brasserie Azur j’aime what you’ve done to the place.
