(WSVN) - Fresh seafood in a classic Italian dish. That’s what’s cooking, as we grab a Bite with Belkys.

The Dish: Linguine with Broccoli & Shrimp

Ingredients:
7 oz. linguine
4 garlic cloves, sliced
4 tbs. olive oil
2 tbs. extra virgin olive oil
1 pinch red pepper flakes
1 tbs. capers
1 cup blanched broccoli
10 U12 wild Canaveral shrimp (peeled-heads on)
salt and pepper to taste
chopped parsley for garnish

Method of Preparation:
– In a pot of boiling salted water, add fresh or dry pasta and let it cook until it’s al dente. Follow directions on package.

– In a hot pan, add olive oil and the shrimp. Sear for two minutes, then add red pepper flakes, capers and garlic. Sauté for two more minutes.

– Add blanched broccoli florets and sauté one more minute and set aside.

– When pasta is done, drain and add it to the pan. Also add a little of the pasta water to the broth.

To Plate:
Plate and toss. Drizzle on some extra virgin olive oil and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

Serving Suggestion: Vermentino wine
