(WSVN) - Hooters girls are, of course, known for their personalities — and maybe those orange shorts they wear. But they’re also known for their calendar. It’s not out yet, but we got a preview of 2017 — and it’s looking like a very, very good year.
The girls traded in their trademark shorts for evening wear in Fort Lauderdale. Seventy Hooters girls showed up at the Broward Center for a red carpet calendar reveal.
Shot on location all over the Caribbean and the U.S., the calendar gives Hooters girls a chance to shine.
Kristi Quarles: “When we’re hiring a Hooters girl and also looking for one to shoot, we’re looking for all-American, girl next door, someone who’s just a ‘please and thank you,’ kind young lady.”
Angela: “It was my second year in Bimini, Bahamas shooting for the 2016 and the 2017 calendar, and it was a blast. They always take such good care of us, and I couldn’t be any more thankful.”
Danielle: “I went to ‘Tween Waters back in Fort Myers. There were a couple of shots there where my fingers are totally crossed.”
After dinner and drinks it was time to announce the cover girl, and the way they did it was pretty sweet.
The ladies got dessert — with their photo on the plate. Talk about a photo finish.
Kristi Quarles: “Sable is the 2017 calendar cover girl!”
The honor went to Miss Hooters International Sable Robert, who just happens to work at Hooters in Pembroke Pines.
Sable Robert: “I think the calendar is such an awesome opportunity to give something back for the girls who work so hard for Hooters. Not only do we just serve chicken wings and cold beer, but we love to be a part of our community, and we do a lot of charity work.”
You can pick up some wings and the calendar at any Hooters restaurant on October 1st. One dollar of every calendar sale goes to breast cancer research.
