Biography
Raphael Pires joined WSVN in January 2020.
He got his start in TV news as a reporter for the NBC affiliate in Traverse City, MI. From there, Raphael spent time in the mountains of Western North Carolina as a reporter/fill-in anchor at the ABC affiliate in Asheville, NC.
He grew up in Orlando, FL and graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and is thrilled to back in the Sunshine State and closer to family. He’s looking forward to experiencing everything South Florida has to offer and is excited to report the stories impacting the community.
When he’s not at work, Raphael enjoys exercising, going to the beach and checking out the food scene with his wife.
