This cold front is forecast to clear the region by Thursday night and take our skies from partly cloudy to mostly clear. On the backside of the cold front, this will translate to a dry and pleasant Veterans Day and start to the weekend under mostly sunny skies.

Friday night/Saturday morning will also bring the coolest temps this week to the region. They will dip into the low to mid 60s along the metro and coast with upper 50s over the western suburbs.

Additionally, we could see minor coastal flooding this weekend. Not from rain, but an another pull on the high tides with the approach of the next full moon on Monday, Nov. 14th. This Supermoon will be the brightest moon of 2016 and the largest since 1948.
