Behind a weak cold front, the drying out process will begin for the weekend. High pressure will build in over the Sunshine State for Saturday and Sunday. We cannot rule out a quick passing shower or two off the northeast winds.

This building breeze will elevate the risk of rip currents at our local beaches. For boaters, if you are hitting the water off Miami-Dade and Broward County shores, you are advised to exercise caution. There is also a Small Craft Advisory in effect for the Florida Keys.

As deep tropical moisture returns to the neighborhood, we will gradually warm up with a better shot of showers during the first half of the work week. This will be courtesy of a stronger cold front zeroing in on us.

As we cruise into next weekend, the front will clear the Sunshine State and bring drier/colder air back to South Florida as our morning temps dip into the upper 50s to low 60s.
