MIAMI (WSVN) - University of Miami and Florida State officials continue to monitor Hurricane Matthew as the school rivals prep for a game that is still scheduled to take place on Saturday, as of Wednesday afternoon.

The Miami Hurricanes are scheduled to host the game against the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday at the Hard Rock Stadium, Saturday night.

According to the UM Athletics Director Blake James, officials have not decided to cancel nor postpone the game. They will continue to monitor Hurricane Matthew.

“We are monitoring Hurricane Matthew, and are in constant contact with stadium personnel,” James said. “We are hopeful that the impact of Hurricane Matthew will be minimal and the game between the Hurricanes and Seminoles will be played as planned.”

Kickoff is set to take place at 8:14 p.m.
