INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck says he is focused on football — not the contract negotiations everybody else wants to discuss.

One day after Luck drew roars from the crowd for sliding during practice and team owner Jim Irsay said he was hopeful a deal would be finished before training camp, Luck told reporters that he’s not worried about it and anticipates it getting done before Indy reports to Anderson University.

If it doesn’t, Luck says that’s also all right because he’s still under contract for this season and he has a job to do.

Irsay has said Luck’s new contract could be a record-breaker but he wants the structure of the deal salary-cap friendly.
