JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, a third-round draft pick from Maryland, has signed his rookie contract.

Ngakoue signed the four-year deal Tuesday, becoming the final member of the team’s seven-man draft class to sign. Ngakoue is guaranteed a minimum of $540,000 in annual salary with a minimum signing bonus of $856,000.

The 69th overall player selected in the draft, Ngakoue set a single-season school record with 13 ½ sacks as a junior last year and ranked second nationally in sacks per game (1.13).

The 6-foot-2, 252-pounder is expected to back up starter Dante Fowler Jr., who is returning from missing his entire rookie season with a knee injury.
