BELMONT, Mich. (AP) — After finishing in a tie after 72 holes Carlotta Ciganda and Sei Young Kim needed an extra hole to determine the winner of the Meijer LPGA Classic.

The duo completed play at 17-under and on the first playoff hole Kim was the winner.

The win is the second of the year for Kim and fifth in her career. In playoffs she is 3-0.

Defending champion Lexi Thompson had a 1-over-72 on the last round to finish three shots back of the lead.
