SEATTLE (WSVN) — A JetBlue passenger was told she’s “unfit to fly” due to her outfit.

Maggie McMuffin, a burlesque dancer in Seattle, was told by a JetBlue employee that the pilot felt her striped shorts were inappropriate.

The woman said she had no other clothes, so she tried to compromise with the airline. “I could tie a sweater around my waist,” said McMuffin. “I could get a blanket from you guys, and I was told, ‘If you don’t change your clothes, you’re not going to be able to board this flight.'”

The passenger chose to buy a new pair of shorts at the airport, rather than change her flight.

JetBlue has since offered an apology to McMuffin and a $162 flight credit.
