(WSVN) - A judge has ordered the Federal Aviation Administration to review airplane seat guidelines.

The decision came after an advocacy group alleged that small airline seats can put passengers’ health at risk, with conditions like blood clots becoming more common.

The group also offered evidence that airplane seats have steadily decreased in size over the last several decades.

Airlines said being able to add seats improves efficiency and allows then to offer cheaper fares for travelers.
