As Donald Trump won battleground key states on election night and his path to the White House became clear, Canada’s immigration website crashed.
The website was unavailable as of 11:20 p.m., Tuesday, telling those interested in moving to Canada, “500- Internal server error. There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.”
Meanwhile, Canada’s official Twitter account sent out a not-so-subtle message:
In Canada, immigrants are encouraged to bring their cultural traditions with them and share them with their fellow citizens. pic.twitter.com/MOuStZbSX7

The website appeared to come back online later.
