GORMAN, Calif. (AP) — Five people have been killed and two more hurt in a multi-vehicle crash on a highway near Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department tells CBSLA.com it happened just after 4 a.m. Tuesday on the 5 Freeway in Gorman. The website reports two adults and three minors died in the crash.

KNBC-TV reports two other victims were airlifted to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.

It’s not clear what led to the crash.
