DANIA BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) — What started off as a minor rain shower turned into a rough wind storm for the World Cat boat store.

Surveillance video from the boat store showed rough winds and rain knocking down and flipping over three boats that had been hoisted up on a rack. The boats ranged from 250 to 350 pounds each.

The storm also moved a heavier boat and slammed it into a fence as well as snapping a powerline nearby.

Bruce Wade, the store’s owner, had taken shelter inside his business during the storm. “We’re standing inside, staying out of the rain,” Wade said. “It just sounded like a freight train coming through. Branches and stuff started flying, and next thing, boats started flying around.

According to Wade, the storm caused between $8,000 to $10,000 of damages.
