MIAMI (WSVN) — The substance found that could have made legal matters worse for a former UM student was found to be perfectly legal.
Test results determined Ivanna Villanueva, who was sentenced last month for DUI manslaughter, was taking legal medication.
Any illegal substance found could have drastically impacted her sentence.
Villanueva is set to serve three years behind bars for striking and killing 68-year-old Eyder Ayala while driving drunk along LeJeune Road and Majorca Avenue back in 2011.
