WSVN — So you’re up late at night and your sweet tooth strikes. You are about to get lucky.
The new Insomnia Cookies in South Beach is delivering hot cookies to your door.
Antonio Johnson, manager, Insomnia Cookies: “Warm, fresh cookies until 3 o’clock in the morning.”
Yolanda Santana: “Let’s say I want something sweet. I can pick up the phone and say, ‘Hey, can you bring me some cookies?’ and not have to leave my house.”
They bake nine traditional cookies and three types of deluxe cookies. Cookie monsters will love the Chocolate Chunk, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut and Ooey Gooey S’mores.
Antonio Johnson: “It’s basically campfire in a cookie.”
Or make it a cookie ice cream sandwich.
Antonio Johnson: “Cookiewich, which is combination of two of our cookies and our ice cream in the middle.”
For $1.50, they’ll deliver to any location on South Beach, with a promise that your cookies will arrive hot.
Antonio Johnson: “We deliver them in an insulated bag similar to what you would see for pizza.”
Yolanda Santana: “It’s almost like if you had Grandma make you cookies. They’re fresh out of the oven.”
Another special delivery that’ll make your day: flowers. But these aren’t just any flowers. These flowers make a fashion statement.
Addie Flynn, product designer, Kalla: “You’re kinda bringing in what’s going on in the fashion industry and mixing it with floral.”
Kalla, a new company launching in Miami, is bringing floral couture to your door. Every arrangement will arrive in this beautiful gift box, and each one-of-a-kind flower design has a coordinating vase.
Addie Flynn-Kalla: “We have all sorts of fun vases that are really inspired by what’s going on in fashion right now. We have a Chevron vase, a polka dot vase, a houndstooth vase.”
Kinda like the perfect black dress. They offer six staple arrangements for any occasion and six seasonal ones. Each arrangement is named after a historic love story.
Addie Flynn-Kalla: “Henry and Anais is our answer to the traditional red rose arrangement. So we have these gorgeous Wanted Heart Roses, which are named because they have a shape of a heart inside each one.”
Addie Flynn-Kalla: “This one is called Grace and the Prince. It’s actually named after Grace Kelly. This is a neutral arrangement, could be for anyone.”
And if the posh petals aren’t enough…
Addie Flynn-Kalla: “You can also add a Napa Valley wine to your gift, as well as artisan chocolates that are made by a famed chocolate maker.”
Prices for the Kalla arrangements start at $90 and go up to $300.
