WASHINGTON (AP) — Hillary Clinton’s campaign headquarters in Brooklyn, New York, got a pep talk from a special visitor on Friday: Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren.
The populist Democrat talked to campaign aides about a number of issues at stake in the election, including the Dodd-Frank financial overhaul, the President Barack Obama’s health care overhaul and the future of the Supreme Court.
Warren’s name has surfaced as a potential running mate for Clinton. She met with Clinton last week at the former secretary of state’s Washington home, adding to speculation that she could be under consideration for vice president.
Campaign officials who were at the gathering say Warren offered some blunt advice. She said, “Don’t screw this up.”
