WEST MIAMI (WSVN) — Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence was in South Florida, Friday night, and he stopped in at a famous local restaurant.

With just four days to go until Election Day, Donald Trump’s running mate was in West Miami to rally supporters at the Renaissance Ballroom. The Indiana governor had stopped by Versailles Restaurant in Little Havana for some Cuban coffee beforehand.

Speaking exclusively to 7News, Pence emphasized the importance of Florida’s 29 electoral votes.

“Florida always looms large in elections, but it seems especially so this year,” Pence said. “Donald Trump and I are just so encouraged by the enthusiasm and support that we’re seeing all across the state of Florida, and frankly all across the country.”

During his stump speech, Pence spoke about national security.

“We will rebuild our military. We will restore the arsenal of democracy,” Pence said at his rally. “We will give our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guard the resources and training they need to accomplish their mission. And we will hunt down and destroy ISIS at its source.”

Meanwhile, Trump campaigned in New Hampshire and Ohio, Friday. The business tycoon continues to hammer Clinton on her email controversy.

Trump will be in Tampa, Florida, Saturday and then head to North Carolina, Nevada and Colorado.
