WASHINGTON (WSVN) — After the first presidential debate, Donald Trump made remarks about some issues he was having with his microphone. Now, The Commission on Presidential Debates has confirmed that the microphone was in fact dealing with technical difficulties.

Trump had complained that the microphone may have thrown his performance Monday off a little bit. On Friday afternoon, the Debate Commission released a statement confirming that Trump’s audio was impacted in some way.

The statement reads, in part: “Regarding the first debate, there were issues regarding Donald Trump’s audio that affected the sound level in the debate hall.”

Officials did not provide any evidence that showed the audio affected the TV experience of the debate for the 80 million viewers watching at home.
