NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) — Authorities have apprehended a robbery subject who lead them on a chase on Interstate 95, Wednesday morning.
According to Miami Police, the subject robbed the Starbucks Restaurant on 68th Street and Biscayne Blvd before jumping in a car and leading police on a chase.
The pursuit came to an end near 153rd Street where the interstate meets the Turnpike after the subject crashed into a median. He then bailed out of the car holding a wad full of cash and fled on foot through a nearby neighborhood.
7 Skyforce HD followed the subject as he wandered through the neighborhood and dropped money at times. He then approached a woman who was getting into her car but she managed to drop everything and run toward her house.
Police officers located the subject and he surrendered as they approached him.
