The Dish: Nutellino
1 five ounce pizza dough ball (Pre-made can be found at the grocery store in the bakery dept.)
4 ounces Ferrero Nutella
Fresh whipped cream (or canned)
4 sliced strawberries
chocolate syrup to taste
powdered sugar to taste
Method of Preparation:
– Start by generously flouring your work surface. Press the pizza dough into a circle, and put three large spoonfuls of Nutella in a line down the center of the dough. Make sure and and leave a 1 inch gap on each end.
– Fold the dough over to make a half-moon shape. Trim off the excess dough with a pizza cutter. Press the edges to completely seal the dough (to avoid spilling contents while baking).
– Put the Nutellino on a pizza stone and place in the oven at 450 degrees. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown.
Cut into bite-sized sections. Place sliced strawberries around the Nutellino with dabs of whipped cream, and drizzle chocolate syrup over it to taste. For a final touch, sprinkle on powdered sugar.
