OAKLAND PARK, FLA. (WSVN) - A Tri-Rail train struck and killed one person in Oakland Park.

Police responded to the scene near Northwest 38th Street alongside Interstate 95, at around 5 p.m., Wednesday.

It is unclear if the casualty was a pedestrian or on a cycle of some kind.

Tri-Rail has set up bus bridges between the Cypress Creek and Fort Lauderdale stations and is urging commuters seek alternate routes.
