MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (WSVN) - President Barack Obama arrived to Miami, Thursday, to host a campaign rally for democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton at Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens.
The rally at Florida Memorial University, located at 15800 N.W. 42nd Ave., ran from 1 to 4 p.m. Doors opened at 1 p.m.
While admission to the event is free and open to the public, a ticket will be required for entry. By Wednesday night, the event had already reached its capacity, according to the website.
Obama arrived at Miami International Airport accompanied with Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and was greeted by Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez and Miami Beach Mayor Phillip Levine.
Obama first made a stop at Miami Dade College, where he spoke about the Affordable Care Act. “Never in U.S. history has the uninsured rate been lower than it is today,” he said.
He also praised college officials for attempting to get members of the Miami Dade College community enrolled in Obamacare.

According to the FMU event description, Obama’s goal for the event was to “lay out the high stakes of November’s election for Florida families and highlight Hillary Clinton’s vision for an America that is stronger together, with an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.”
The rally comes one day after Clinton and Trump battled it out on the debate stage for the third and final time.
Wednesday night, Trump made headlines once again for calling Clinton “a nasty woman,” and refusing to answer questions if he will accept the results of next month’s election if he loses to Clinton.
