NORTH LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Customers at a North Lauderdale restaurant were shocked when a pair of thieves stole a customer’s purse and quickly fled the scene, this past August.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, on Aug. 18, at approximately 9:40 a.m., two men stole a patron’s purse in the blink of an eye at Flanigan’s Seafood Bar and Grill, located at 5450 North State Road 7.

Police said security cameras recorded four individuals as they pulled up to the restaurant’s parking lot in a black or dark-colored Jeep Liberty. Suddenly, two men exited the vehicle, entered the restaurant and asked a server if they could use the restroom.

Once they exited the restroom, as they casually walked back towards the front door, one of the two subjects quickly grabbed a purse hanging from the back of a bar stool and made a run for it.

The two ran out into the parking lot, where the vehicle was waiting for them. The four individuals were gone before the guest noticed their purse had even been stolen, according to police.

The investigation remains ongoing.

If you have any information on this theft, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $3,000 reward.
