SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are searching for the person or people responsible for breaking into a check cashing store at a shopping center in Southwest Miami-Dade, early Tuesday morning.
The burglary took place at Advance America, located at 11656 S.W. 88th St., at around 2 a.m., Miami-Dade Police said.
According to officials, a delivery man found the door in the back of the business open. Investigators said the burglar smashed a hole into the wall near the door.
Police have not released details of exactly what was stolen.
One employee of nearby Go Run Miami, Doug Nicaragua, thinks there might be surveillance video of the burglary somewhere to be found. Nicaragua said, “There’s a lot of cameras all over the place, especially in this building and then the building across the way, in case they ran to the other buildings. Most likely they’ve got to be on camera somewhere.”
