MIAMI BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - A man accused of trying to steal a yacht from the Miami Beach Marina before he came to a crashing halt nearly two months ago is facing some serious charges in connection with that incident.

Twenty-four-year-old Anthony Jocelinn had been arrested in Pembroke Pines on Oct. 4 for unrelated charges. He is facing charges of grand theft in the first degree, burglary and criminal mischief.

Police said Jocelinn tried to steal an 80-foot yacht docked at the marina, Oct. 2. The yacht slammed into multiple vessels, forcing the suspect to jump out into the water.

The crash caused more than $10 million worth of damage.

On Thursday, Jocelinn was transferred and booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating the crash.
