CORAL GABLES, FLA. (WSVN) - Some of Latin music’s biggest stars came together to raise money for the victims of last month’s earthquake in Ecuador.
The event took place at the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami, Wednesday night. Music stars like Willy Chirino, Carlos Vives and Chayanne along with many more took the stage to say “Ecuador, I am here for you.”
The Ecuadorian-American Chamber of Commerce of Miami organized the concert. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to aid recovery efforts.
Ecuador was struck by a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake back on Apil 16.
