MIAMI (WSVN) - South Florida students were treated to a spooky concert, Sunday, at the Lyric Theater in Miami.
The Biscayne Bay Kiwanis Club invited children, parents and staff from four elementary schools for a free show by the South Florida Youth Symphony. Organizers also set up a meet and greet with the performers.
“It’s a wonderful experience to open the doors of possibility,” said the Biscayne Bay Kiwanis Club president Nellie Hernandez. “Maybe a student comes here and realizes they would like to take up a musical instrument, expand their horizons.”
The City of Miami Police Department attended, as well, to lend their support.
Officers handed out goodie bags at the end of the performance.
