SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Two women have been hospitalized after they were left trapped inside of their vehicle following a collision with a semi truck in Southwest Miami-Dade.

According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the semi truck crashed into the back of a small, silver vehicle at Southwest 174th Street and 177th Avenue in Southwest Miami-Dade, Thursday morning.

Officials said there were two women trapped inside the smaller vehicle for a period of time. They have since been transported to Jackson South Hospital.

The truck driver was also transported to Jackson South Hospital.

The extent of their injuries are unknown.
