NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are searching for at least two people who, they said, injured one man in a drive-by shooting in Miami Gardens, then led police on a chase that ended in Northwest Miami-Dade, Tuesday night.

According to investigators, three men were sitting in a car near Northwest 155th Terrace when subjects drove by in a black Chrysler 200 and shot at the three males, who, police said, are known gang members.

The subjects then fled in their vehicle and police lost sight of them. When Opa-locka Police saw the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, the subjects tried to ram their vehicle into the police vehicles.

Police said the subjects bailed out of the car in Northwest Miami-Dade and fled southwest on foot.

Miami-Dade, Miami Gardens and Opa-locka police set up a perimeter near Northwest 63rd Street and Northwest 24th Avenue.

A Special Response Team arrived at the scene shortly after 10 p.m. They believe the subjects may slipped away into an apartment building.

The victim was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital in unknown condition.

No officers were hurt.
