FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Scott Israel has been re-elected as Broward County’s sheriff.
Israel won his campaign, Tuesday, against challenger Santiago Vazquez Jr., a former Broward Sheriff’s Office Sergeant.
Scott won in a landslide victory with 73 percent of the vote against Vazquez’s 27 percent.
Israel touted crime statistics during his time as sheriff, as well as the implementation of body cameras on officers during his campaign.
