SOUTH MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A neighborhood is on high alert after several South Miami-Dade homes were broken into, and some residents believe one person is behind it all.

7News spoke exclusively with one victim who lives in the area. He and other homeowners are now asking for the public’s help.

A young man riding a stolen bicycle with someone else’s belongings was caught on camera just before 9 a.m., Tuesday, off 102nd Court in the Riverside Park, in the Old Cutler Bay Development.

“My heart almost stopped. I could not believe what I was seeing,” said Alex Duran, one victim’s neighbor.

A nearby homeowner who lives off 102nd Court was victimized Monday night, just before 10 p.m., when no one was inside the residence.

Home surveillance cameras caught the burglar throwing a rock into a window, smashing it and entering the premises. According to officials, that man stole $7,000 worth of merchandise, including a TV, jewelry and other personal items.

“It’s aggravating because this guy has no respect,” said home burglary victim Frank, who did not want to give his last name.

If you recognize the man in the surveillance video footage, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
