HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) - A court of appeals has ruled that the so-called Red-Light Safety Camera programs in Hollywood, are legal under Florida law.
The program is run by a company called American Traffic Solutions. An investigation found ATS is merely providing services to police departments and not acting as a police power itself.
This ruling goes against a ruling in 2014 from the Fourth District Court of Appeals, which concluded the city improperly gave police power to ATS.
