NORTHEAST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Police said, Thursday night, that a woman who had claimed to have been abducted was lying.

Thirty-two-year-old Karla Vasquez texted her husband Thursday morning saying she was in danger. After the husband found their home empty, he contacted police. Police spent the day at their home and later found Vasquez in Northeast Miami-Dade where, after an investigation, they said she was lying about the abduction.

Police have now charged Vasquez for filing a police report under false pretenses. It remains unknown why she allegedly lied about her abduction.
