PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WSVN) — A man was arrested in Pinellas Park after, police said, his girlfriend discovered he had been molesting and raping her now-pregnant 13-year-old daughter for years.
According to FOX 13 News in Tampa, 41-one-year-old Mark Phillip Sutton was taken into custody, early Tuesday. He faces several charges including counts of sexual battery, with additional charges possible, according to police.
Police said Sutton’s girlfriend had taken her daughter to the hospital for unrelated medical problems when doctors discovered she was four months pregnant. The daughter then told her mother that Sutton, her mother’s live-in boyfriend, had molested and raped her since she was 8 years old.
The daughter said Sutton had made her perform oral sex on him, performed oral sex on her and had sex with her in the family’s home.
The girl told investigators she was not sexually active with any other man.
