MIAMI (WSVN) - Police said a woman accused of dragging and running over a South Florida grandmother during a robbery in Kendall has confessed to the crime.

Thirty-three-year-old Liz Corcho appeared before Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer on Friday. “So this is basically a robbery gone bad,” said Glazer.

Corcho is being charged with first-degree murder in the death of 65-year-old Vicki Feeley.

According to the police report, Corcho and 27-year-old Carlos Mojica “cased a shopping center looking like someone to rob,” Saturday night.

After spotting Feeley, investigators said, the pair followed the victim to her Kendall home, located near Southwest 112th Terrace and 128th Court.

“[The suspect] grabbed her purse and was dragging her down the street,” said Glazer as Corcho’s attorney cautioned his client to remain quiet.

In a struggle for her valuables, police said, Feeley was dragged and run over. Paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital, where she later died.

Police took Corcho into custody on Thursday after she tried to cash one of the victim’s checks.

Thursday evening, officers spotted Mojica in a stolen truck at an RV park in Florida City. “The subject rammed one of the police vehicles here and almost struck some of the officers that were on foot trying to approach, which led to a police shooting,” said Miami-Dade Police Director Juan Perez.

Mojica was struck multiple times. He was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Feeley was laid to rest Friday morning.

As police continued to gather evidence, loved ones gathered at Feeley’s home to mourn their loss. “This was a senseless crime. This was a beautiful woman,” said family friend Carlos Garcia. “This family is destroyed.”

Police said there was a witness in this case, but she is just 3 years old. Court documents show Corcho’s 3-year-old daughter was with the pair when the crime was committed.

Corcho was denied bond. Both suspects remain behind bars.
