POMPANO BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - Police have released video of a man attacking and robbing a woman at an ATM, in May, and hope that someone can identify the robber.

The video shows Diana Harrington, 66, trying to deposit cash at a Wells Fargo ATM, when a man lunged at her and tried to take the cash from her hand. Harrington fought back, and the two tumbled to the ground, but the suspect managed to take her money and get away.

“It all happened so fast, you’re not expecting it,” Harrington said. “I put my card in, and I had my money in my other hand. Just as I went to put my money into the other hand to put it in, he turned around said, ‘Give me that money.'”

The surveillance video clearly shows the suspect’s face as he stood at the ATM next to Harrington, before he lunged at her.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office previously thought they had a lead on the suspect, but the case has gone cold. BSO hopes someone will recognize the man and help crack the case.

Harrington said the robbery has made her constantly worried about her surroundings.

“You look around and see if there’s anybody coming beside you and coming up beside you,” she said.

She worries that the man could strike again.

“His card didn’t work. He didn’t get money, and this was an opportunity,” she said, “But I think he might try it again.”

If you have any information on this robbery, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $3,000 reward.
