SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A Miami-Dade Police motorcycle officer was transported to the hospital after being involved in an accident in Southwest Miami-Dade, Monday.
The officer was ejected from his bike when a minivan struck him after running a stop sign, according to Miami-Dade Police. The Miami-Dade Police Department sergeant is in stable condition at Kendall Regional Hospital and is excepted to be OK, according to officials.
The accident happened in the area of Southwest 137th Avenue and 90th Street in Kendall.
The driver of the minivan was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
