Two South Florida “pill mill” doctors convicted of money laundering, have lost their appeals to have their prison sentences overturned.

Cynthia Cadet was sentenced to six and a half years, while Joseph Castronuovo received an 18-month sentence.

The duo were among 32 people who were found guilty for their connection in illegally dispensing addictive pain pills at South Florida clinics.

According to the Sun Sentinel, federal prosecutors filed a written request Wednesday asking a judge to revoke their bonds and have them taken into custody.

A 7News investigation exposed the duo back in 2014, when the clinics were raided after they would bill themselves as pain management establishments.
