HIALEAH, FLA. (WSVN) - A body was found floating in the water near southbound Okeechobee Road, Monday.
Officials sent a diver into the water to retrieve a male victim that was found face down in the canal. The body was caught by the current, officials said, which began to pull it closer to shore.
7Skyforce was on the scene as rescue crews checked for the victim’s vital signs.
Traffic was affected along southbound Okeechobee Road, with only one left lane getting by approaching Le Jeune Road, while police investigated.
Officials have not confirmed the condition of the body and the identity.
