NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Police are searching for three men considered to be armed and dangerous, after they ambushed a Northwest Miami-Dade family.
According to officials, some family members were inside the home and others were arriving home, when they were forced into their house by three masked men with guns. The men robbed the family and fled from the house, located near Northwest 124th Street and 17th Avenue, Friday morning.
Investigators said one of the victims was beaten with a gun.
Miami-Dade Police searched the area by foot, with the assistance of several K-9 units and a chopper overhead. They set up a perimeter in the area but have not located anyone as of yet.
Authorities are describing the case as a home invasion and armed robbery. The men were able to get away with $700 in cash and jewelry from the house.
