MIAMI (WSVN) - Mayor of Miami Tomás Regalado, Miami Commissioner Francis Suarez and other elected officials proudly presented a new community center at West End Park in the City of Miami, Monday afternoon.

The elected officials welcomed their community to the new, multipurpose facility during a ribbon cutting ceremony at West End Park.

“It’s just one of those happy days as an elected official, when you get to cut the ribbon to inaugurate a brand new facility for residents,” said Suarez. “I have had the pleasure and the honor of being able to construct one in every single park of my district since I became commissioner, and this has been a dream come true for me.”

The new center includes a multipurpose room, offices, a fitness center, a computer room and even a classroom.

Thanks to the new facility, there will be more programs added, such as fitness classes, youth programs and summer camps.
