MIAMI (WSVN) - A South Florida man was arrested Tuesday for hitting his two stepchildren in their faces with a brick, according to City of Miami Police.

According to an arrest affidavit, the children’s mother called John Junior George, 42, to check on her kids. During the conversation, she heard her husband tell the kids, “You are going to cry for the rest of your life, and you [expletive] can laugh on that.”

The mother asked the kids if her babies were hurt and heard crying in the background before being hung up on.

The children’s mother immediately called 911 to check on the kids. When she arrived to the home, she noticed the kids bleeding from their heads.

Police said the kids told their mom they were hit in the face with a brick before their stepfather left the house.

George was later arrested and charged with child abuse, aggravated assault with great bodily harm and torture.

The man was out on probation for a warrant and is currently behind bars. He is being held with no bond.

The couple were married for only a month. The ages of the kids were not released.
