MIAMI (WSVN) — You can now get free, one-hour delivery from some of your favorite Miami restaurants straight to your home or office with an Amazon Prime account.
If you’ve ever craved your favorite dish from Brother Jimmy’s BBQ or Michael’s Genuine Food & Wine, all it takes to get it delivered to your home is the click of a button thanks to Amazon Restaurants.
Tuesday, Amazon.com announced that Prime members in Miami can enjoy free, one-hour delivery from participating local restaurants.
“Miami’s rich culture and vibrant restaurant scene makes it the ideal place to try new restaurants and cuisine from around the world,” said Gus Lopez, general manager at Amazon Restaurants. “We are excited to expand Amazon Restaurants into Miami, providing Prime members across Miami with a free one-hour delivery option from some of the city’s best local restaurants.”
By using the Prime Now mobile app, or by visiting the Prime Now website, members can view a full list of restaurants, skim menus and place orders. Once an order is placed, customers can track the status of their delivery and watch as the driver delivers their meal in real time. The food will be delivered in an hour or less.
According to Amazon.com, if a customer finds a restaurant item that is priced higher than the regularly-priced item on the restaurant’s current online menu within 24 hours of placing the order, Amazon will refund the customer the price of the item.
