MIAMI (WSVN) - A man is suing the North Miami Police Department after he said he was wrongfully accused of a crime.
Twenty-three-year-old Clenol Jean was arrested in April on charges of molesting a 4-year-old girl.
Those charges were later dropped, but Jean believes he was the victim of a rush-to-judgment and should have never been hauled off to jail. “It was very stressful, very traumatic to be in an environment that I would never even fathom of,” Jean said.
“What Mr. Jean experienced was a reckless disregard of his rights,” said Jean’s attorney, Wendell Locke.
There has been no response to the lawsuit so far from the North Miami Police Department.
