DAVIE, FLA. (WSVN) - A man accused of groping a blind woman at Broward College was booked into jail on several charges.

Police said the suspect stalked the victim through the campus hallways before he attacked her twice on June 29.

7News was on the scene as 23-year-old Dovaun Fuller was taken into the Broward County Jail, Friday afternoon.

Davie Police released surveillance footage that showed Fuller and the victim inside a hallway at the Broward College’s A. Hugh Adams Central campus. That’s where, according to police, Fuller approached the victim and groped her over her clothes. The victim was able to get away and went into another building nearby. Fuller followed the victim, who was disoriented in her whereabouts and groped her a second time.

Students at the campus said that the accusations are alarming. “That is scary,” said one student.

This sexual offense is just another reminder to leave campus alert and with a partner. “Me and my friends are usually here late, and it’s usually empty, so that’s pretty scary,” said student Eva Trabanino, “so we’ll probably travel together to the bus stop or to the car in the parking garage.”

Broward College released the following statement: “Last week, Broward College was alerted of a sexual offense incident at its A. Hugh Adams Central Campus. The College immediately took action, notifying the Davie Police Department and its campus community. The timely reporting resulted in a potential suspect within hours. Broward College is committed to providing secure campuses where students feel safe to attend class, learn and congregate, and we commend the Davie Police Department for working closely with our College officials to swiftly apprehend the suspect.”

Fuller is expected to go before a judge Saturday.
