SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Neighbors are outraged after a Kendall man lynched two dummies from a tree in the front yard of his Three Lakes home, Friday.

The two dark, faceless dummies, wearing hoodies and pants, were seen hanging from a tree by nooses around their necks.

After residents of the community complained about the lynching display, the property manager asked the homeowner to take it down.

The homeowner hasn’t done so, but they did place a sign next to the lynching that said, “Please don’t be ignorant it’s Halloween.”

The property manager, Orelys Canas, released a statement saying, “The board of directors of the community has already taken action by asking the homeowner to take it down … giving resident proper notice to remove it and now waiting for the homeowner to respond.”

Neighbors condemned the display.

“You can’t have that outside your house. Kids are going to be walking by,” one man said.

“Though I respect everybody’s right, you have to be sensitive to other people and what happened in the past,” said a woman.

The homeowner has not responded to the board of directors.
