A house boat has been left charred after a early morning fire broke out in Fort Lauderdale.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene along Hendricks Isle and East Las Olas Boulevard just before 4:30 a.m., Thursday.
The owner of the boat was sleeping when the flames broke out but was able to escape uninjured, rescue officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
